Brook Yanlin, an undergraduate in Fine Arts with a focus on oil painting at Zhongbei College, Nanjing Normal University, experienced a transformative shift in artistic style starting in the first half of 2020. Influenced deeply by Frank Auerbach and various German Neo-Expressionists such as Anselm Kiefer, Yanlin began experimenting with a diverse range of materials in the form of mixed-media paintings on canvas, resulting in over 60 such experimental creations to date.
